BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Each member of the TAGS team brings a unique skill set, creating a well balanced board with a solid foundation. Collectively we have an abundance of creative energy, legal expertise, leadership skills, years of volunteerism, and nonprofit work. We have immense passion, dedication, and grit to get things done, striving to make our community a better and more inclusive place to live, especially for our youth.
Lynn Drogo, Founder & Executive Director, Board President
Lynn has lived in San Leandro for 18 years and is the mother of two, a teen and a young adult. Lynn is an active member in the San Leandro community, having served on the board at Broadmoor Preschool and the PTA board at Bancroft Middle School. She's also a Co-Founder of Art For Change San Leandro, an organization that partners businesses with artists interested in evoking change in our community through art. Lynn holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from CSULB. She has worked as a bookkeeping consultant in the nonprofit sector for over 8 years and is super excited to apply these skills to her own nonprofit. She is currently enrolled in Leadership San Leandro, class of 2021. Lynn's passion is serving our youth, helping to make our community a more inclusive place for teens to think and create outside the box.
Missy Brooks, Secretary
For over 21 years, Missy worked at Stepping Stones Growth Center in San Leandro, a nonprofit agency who’s mission was to empower persons with disabilities through inclusion, advocacy and innovative services. She created and managed the Artful Steps Program teaching adults with disabilities methods for self expression though the visual arts. Missy has organized countless, public art events including annual shows at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in San Francisco and the San Leandro Main Library. She has facilitated art commissions including a mosaic series for Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Leandro and mosaic planters depicting San Leandro’s history in our downtown district. Missy was the recipient of the Bernie Graf Excellence in Service Award presented by the Alameda County Developmental Disabilities Planning and Advisory Council in 2011 and is a graduate of Leadership San Leandro, class of 2010. Missy has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Purchase. She has been a resident of San Leandro since 1996. Missy is also one of the Co-Founders of Art For Change San Leandro and is super excited to be part of the TAGS team!
Naissa Foster, Treasurer
Naissa has lived in San Leandro since 1998 and has been a board member of PTA's at Roosevelt Elementary School, Bancroft Middle School and San Leandro High School. She has also been active in fundraising projects for the School District, as well as parcel and bond campaigns to support San Leandro schools. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Anthropology and is currently a senior paralegal at a San Francisco law firm with over 30 years of experience in employment and labor law. Naissa is thrilled to be part of the TAGS team and its mission in supporting our youth.
Natasha Fernandez
Natasha has been leading teams for over a decade crossing both public and private sectors. She is the President & Co-Founder of the 90’s Experience, an experiential museum and 90s themed art exhibit where she leads organizational strategy, operations, and development. Natasha’s passion lies in leadership development and creating experiences. Her work spans a vast portfolio of events, from socials to fundraisers including the local staple Taste of San Leandro, weddings, and festivals such as San Leandro’s own Sausage and Suds Festival and It’s a Wonderful Night. She is committed to the San Leandro community is a Co-Founder of Art For Change San Leandro and has served as past President and Board Member of the San Leandro Downtown Business Association, and Event Chair of Leadership San Leandro, the leadership development program for the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Management with a Minor in Child and Adolescent Development and is thrilled to serve on the TAGS Board supporting youth in expressing themselves and exploring their potential.
Kadence Drogo
Kadence has lived her whole life (17 years) in San Leandro where she has attended the San Leandro public schools and is now a junior at San Leandro High School. She is enrolled in the San Leandro Academy for Multimedia (SLAM) where she really enjoys using her creative and technical skills. Kadence has also been very active in theatre, where she prefers to be behind the curtain working on set design and props as well as handling any last minute set or wardrobe malfunctions or faulty props. She excels under pressure! When Kadence isn't working on academics she loves painting murals on her bedroom walls, photography, baking, playing guitar, and thrifting with friends.
